Shortest-proof-game challenge
Positions with black in check should be declared invalid for this thread, as a full number of moves could not have been completed in a game reaching such a position.
I hereby declare positions with Black in check as valid for this thread.
To fix the position above is so easy, all you have to do is replace the white knight on d2 with a black knight on e7, the white bishop on c7 with a black bishop on f2, the black knight on a6 with a white knight on h3...etc, and do this with all the pieces and you will have the exact same position but with white to move instead!
That's pointless work because positions with Black in check have been declared valid for this thread.
We both declare opposite things, but since I have the higher rating I guess mine takes precedent..or we could settle this in a 10 game bullet playoff if you want?

we could settle this with a 10 game bullet playoff if you want. I am on the black check is valid side.

We declare opposite things, but since my posts contain many fewer grammatical and spelling errors than yours, I guess mine takes precedence.
Both our declarations are silly. I was pointing out the foolishness of your comment in requiring a declaration for what needs to be decided by a consensus.
You should request a vote on your proposal by all readers of this thread. So far, the vote is some large number to one against.
Alright vote everyone! Should all posted positions end in a full number of moves (white to move) or should they all end in half moves (black to move), or does it not matter at all. Post your vote ASAP!!!
In the world of recognized problemists who compose for publication and composition tourneys, a proof game can end with either side to play. But in this thread, we can adopt whatever rules we can agree on, so we can go with something different. My vote is to stick with the usual understanding that a proof game can end with either side to play.

It doesn't matter whose turn it ends with.
