Mary danced all evening to find that she had not been where she had thought. This was within a time frame of, no less/more than 4 hours.

Maybe "Mary" was dancing in George's head.

Mary was in a Jane Austen novel?

Or a Celtic fairy story?

Her imagination

Mary goes into a rave inside a large soundproofed shipping container, and neither she nor any of the other ravers (all very high) notice when the container is loaded onto a ship and the ship sails off. Four hours later, they exit the container only to discover they're no longer in their home country, but on a ship in international waters heading for china.

It's very clever, when i first did it, took me thinking about every day, can't actually give any further info than I have given, besides it's ridiculously easy.
