Strategic Play

This is a longer puzzle, consisting of seven moves to checkmate black's King.  The tactic used here is an example of a player being a couple of moves ahead of their opponent, while also maintaining strategic awareness.  Although there may be more ways to play this game out, the main focus is the best possible moves available to you and piece justification.  I hope you enjoy!

I'm enjoying your posts, good puzzles. I got all of this one- I'm happy to know I can see 7 moves ahead :D The vision got a bit foggy and I thought there was still a rook on f1- but it's the same I guess.

I'm glad you like them...it's fun thinking up new puzzles.  And time consuming I might add.  haha
