Now I see, it's not just me...I looked and searched and I found hotel room rates and section prize money...but no time controls for the traditional tournament!
Go figure?

There were a few different entry choices : tournament in 9 days, one round per day, tournament in 6 days, and tournament in 4 days. Each option involved playing a different number of games per day, and the time controls varied somewhat between the entry methods.
G/60+5 was a typical time control, though.

ok - will do - am I showing my age when I ask whatever happened to 40 (or 45) moves in 2 hours? This would be written as such 40/120 yes/no?

Almost true. It would be 40/120 but there would be a second term indicating the number of moves per hour once you pass move 40.
40-in-2 was always my favorite.
yes I vaguely remember this...what would you suggest for the number of moves per hour once past 40?
The reason I ask all this is I want to start an online chess.com online tournament with the 40 (or 45) moves in 120, and then? All suggestions are welcome, thanks, Hayes.
How Many Game Days Played and What Are The Time Controls?
Does anyone know the number of game days played and the time the games start? What are the time controls for each standard (not blitz or fast or online) tournament game?
Let's discuss the 2022 US Open, yes?
