We aren't alive. Nothing is alive. What we see is all made up. Nothing exists. They say 'life is what we make it'. Problem is we don't have the power to make it anything, but nobody does. Nothing will ever change. We will always be stuck in a living hell.

And what difference really does it make if we are alive or dead?

Ask your friends and relatives when you are gone. Wait, you can't, that would be one for starters...

I like I can relate to that idea. I mean what's the point of building anything? Death comes along and destroys all. Even the universe at some point will be devoid of life.

So we are stuck in this futile existence. Scrambling around trying to avoid pain. For what? So we can eventually die. Just great.

Oh and additionally you're right. Life doesn't exist. Not really. Sure the living creatures are present but their consciousness doesn't belong to them. It's all just a stream of causality.

It's all, the whole thing, is an illusion.

Well pulp sure without life things would look different and naturally there would be no one to observe anything.

I like the idea truth can be known. It's a shame though the truth is hardly uplifting.

I've a feeling though any real truth could only lead to a feeling of oh right. Rather than profound joy or sadness.

As for how people feel. Sure love is a part of life. Pulp. A bunch of chemicals.

Well, why would you go out to party for example? It will be over sooner or later, and it is even possible you'll get a hangover.

Avatar of Tomtalk
Wow. Love that pulp. That's like a star exploding in my head.
Avatar of Pulpofeira

I know you love everything, but hangovers and mothers-in-law should be a category apart.

I see where you are coming from a little bit. I think you're saying because life is finite it makes it all the more precious. Everything concentrated into the briefest of moments.

Additionally you're saying that it's a joy just because it is. In that moment of absolute joy it's not about the future or past only the present. The right now.

I have to admit I've experienced those sorts of feelings. Pure joy at just existing.

That's really funny. You are cheering me up Pulp and making me think too.

i think the universe is full of life.............the people on this earth are closed to "all possibilities"...........the high jerarqui of our world  hide us all............all the reality of all.......

times travel are possible.......i am a phisisist and i know is true ......and the high monuments of the moon and marth?..........i will stop.........after you will say i am crazy...........see you

I think this is the sort of thread where you'll read. Think a bit then post.

Hi Carolina by the way. Pleasure to have you here. There are some lovely people here still such as pulp and exnos. Carla and blargdragon. Baby tigerrr and son of thunder 2.

I agree that the universe contains other life forms. The multiverse too.

Time travel. I doubt it. Nothing travels faster than the speed of light though space expands faster.

It's true though that time is relative of course. For example if you travel very quickly time slows down.

Monuments of the moon?

Everyone is welcome here and free to express their truth too.
Avatar of carolina0509L

yes you are right..........also we can say that toughts travel faster than the  speed of light.......

and when you separate two particulas and put one in one point of the universe and the other in the opossite side......what you make in one of them at the same exactly time it is reciven by the other one........what kind of thing is that magical transference?.......it is just because the information travel faster than everything........

Imo, philosophy is all about epistemology or theory of knowledge. What makes knowledge knowledge and what connections does it have with belief. How do we know things or believe we know them? What are things and is thought a "thing"? In any event, I believe the links between philosophy, psychology and anthropology are real and more hazy than is commonly believed by those famous philosophers who, historically, have erected their intellectual houses of cards on the shifting sands of almost mythological belief systems, not that I believe in mixed metaphors and even if I do then what of it? happy.png

Personally I'm more inclined to accept that the speed of light may be exceeded than I am to believe in the utterly nonsensical idea of "multiverse". wink.png

Great posts. Carolina I've heard about this exchange of information though I'm not very familiar with it.

It's clear to me already that there are people here that have a terrific grasp of these type of things. I'd love to watch some of you guys talk about these things.

I suppose we can think about what philosophy is. I'm certainly interested.

Opti hawking talks about there being a very specific set of values to the fabric of our universe that promote life.

He says the odds of everything being just so by chance are ridiculously low.

But he explains that accepting the multiverse theory deals with this. We lifeforms naturally exist in the universe where life is possible.
Avatar of Tomtalk
I don't see personally why it should be we exist in the only universe. I think that it's a human being trait to assume that we are special and unique.
