Well, I would be a lot happier if it were 294° K.

Btw there's no degree with Kelvin since it's an absolute scale

Yes and that's what I was asking before, what determines the magnitude of 1 degree with Celsius or Farenheit. How does 2 starting points determine the rest of the scale. If at one point water freezes and 100 points away water boils, what exactly is each degree in between a measurement of? Something to do with the rate of heat retention in water molecules or something?

Probably goes back to Galen. Just reusing ideas

You can't just ask for something worldwide to change. If we redesigned things from the ground up we probably would. But also I don't agree since celcius is casual and you have the many extra digits because of absolute zero

nvm last point not valid But I guess

Besides, is abolsute zero even possible?

The closest they've gotten is to a few trillionths of a degree above absolute 0 K. I even read something that suggested they got below 0 K once but that was debunked.

Lol how tf is zero anything THAN zero

Because people have become so accustomed to negative numbers they'd rather have 0 in the center of things than actually at the bottom. At this point we might as well make room temperature or something like 70 F "0" on a new scale and have anything above or below that positive and negative, so just the sign of the number immediately indicates whether it's too hot or too cold LOL!

Or we could just use K..
