What's the point with all the animations? I haven't even seen a single good animation on this forum. It's all senseless kitsch.

Estren

Ok, that's a picture of an old woman.

Estren

I can see that.

Estren

Alright, time for bed. It's been another perfect evening waisted on chess.com.

Nikprit

I am not sure 'reason over instinct' prevails in the forums a lot of the time. But that is just my opinion.

Seems that cyber space has opened up a different medium of communication in a way.

I often wonder, if people met one another, social etiquete being as it is, they probably would be less outspoken to one another.

Does sitting behind a screen make you less inhibited?

Show us some less senseless kitsch Ersten.

If you are following the exchange, there is an image correlation there.

Does it make you angry? Sealed

Ghostliner

Only kidding Estren!

Cool

Nikprit

Therapy tomorrow for you Ersten - go visit Zen Master Nutjob. (See kitsch on page 1 - post 20)

Help me to help you brother

Apologies if this seems like I'm labouring over something, but it's one of my fave movies ever...

Interesting factoid: few people recognised that the old blind man was played by Gene Hackman:

Hackman got the part because he played tennis with Gene Wilder, who told him about the film. Hackman specifically asked if there was a part for him because he wanted to try comedy!

Nikprit

No labour to me Ghosty at all. I didn't realise that was Hackman. I enjoyed a lot of the Wilder movies. There was that prison one too with Richard Pryor.

Nikprit

hey Don

Pryor was good at standup too

Nikprit

Do you recall that time he tried to set himself on fire in real life?

He then took that on the stage & made fun himself. That was surreal & courageous too.

Oops.

It's peaceful.

Yeah, I will go with that WK. Or try to reach for it at least. The gap between the actual & the ideal is worth striving for. I might not get there in this lifetime but my 'fuel of fury', I hope, will eventually get me there. Sealed

You forgot the great Madeline Kahn.

Born Madeline Gail Wolfson, interestingly enough.

Yes she was in High Anxiety & Young F. as well as Blazing Saddles. Thanks Wolfbird

Wolfbird

I thought she was great. Such excellent comedic timing, plus she had sex appeal. She died too young.

Yeah she was 57. Problem is the older you get, the more people you see passing.

'What's up Doc' - I thought that was a Babs Streisand movie.

Nikprit

hey Basher. I don't get too attached to threads or anything else for that matter, except loved ones of course.

It is light & bright, tongue in cheek here Basher. Nothing too heavy or serious.

Noticed all the arguments/anger in the other threads & thought of the movie Anger Management - which is a good comedy.
