I surf constantly, was born in Hawaii but live on the west coast of Ireland and surf whenever the swell is good. I snowboard as well...unfortunately not that well and am actually recovering from a busted collar bone sustained in the mountains of the Czech republic two weeks ago. Hurts like hell still and I'm traveling through Poland and Germany still...good thing I packed light. I trained brazillian jiu-jitsu for years but have nowhere to train now so don't. Anyway, If you ever come to Ireland we can play some chess and catch some waves.
Any Snowboarders/Longboarders in the Chess.com House?

zombie, that's awesome.
i'm actually recovering from a snowboarding injury also. i sepparated my shoulder and broke my collarbone during a big-air comp. i'd love to go to ireland and surf because i've never been surfing before.
rich, i'm an avid fisherman also, but the only time i run is if there are police after me haha.

that's definately extreme. i have a friend who practices muay thai and he kicked me once when we were sparring. almost broke my rib
chess.com extremist unite!
I tried skateboarding, never got good at it and the learning curve hurts. I did BMX instead. My first real BMX bike was a 1987 GT Mach 1

BMX'ing seemed very difficult and less intuitive to do the basic tricks. Also you aren't landing on your feet if you stack. We could all bunny hop on BMXs and that's about it, and just about grind.
Understandable...I raced and liked to jump...big air. It came more natural for me probably because I also grew up riding dirt bikes. I never really got into the hop around on the front wheel stuff.

Hey I was just wondering if I was the only one...
It seems that people are either into extreme sports or they're into chess (or neither lol), but not both. Are there many other hybred-enthusiasts out there?
Chess-boxers are definately encouraged to respond
