Just the latest rant from one of my heroes...

I didn't watch the whole thing. I stopped after the part about putting the BIOS equivalent into the SSD, which is soldered onto the motherboard. Yeah, bright idea. meh
I have little respect for Apple's development priorities. I'm still miffed they can't train an iPhone to do the most basic alphanumeric sort in Notes.

You should have watched a little longer - It gets even better. Apple doesn't make it easy to get a replacement SSD at a reasonable price, even if you want to go to the trouble to solder on a replacement.

Let’s hope that Right-to-Repair laws gain more traction and take a bite out of the apple.

Let's also hope that companies like Framework survive in the marketplace.

Looks interesting. I'm going to keep tabs on them. I may be due for a new computer later this year.

System76 PCs might also be worth looking at if you're planning on using Linux for the OS.

Eldred_Woodcock

More than likely. I don't want to give Microsoft any more money and Linux is probably the best alternative.

Eldred_Woodcock

There are many distributions of Linux. I've used two or three.

I distro hopped some too in the beginning, but I've pretty much settled on Linux Mint. It's always possible that I might change in the future. Never say never...

If this box is just an apple

Don't you take a bite

And if they say why why

Tell them that it's Apple's nature

Why why

Do they do you that way
