Yes and no. They can be enjoyable in theory, but they can be spammed out, dead, lacking moderation, constantly having arcs, be extremely messy, expand the scope way too much, or have a boring cast or concept. Most roleplay forums seem to fall into one or more of these traps quickly.

My main issue is just poor planning leading to something happening constantly, with no time for a more laid back arc, and being confused and out of character when I do try and join.
