Oh, is that what that thing is?...
Are you a thread killer?
That's what I do when I start a thread! After a while of seeing me speak to myself, I believe people feel embarrassed for me.
In adition to pity, I learned about guilt and fear in Catholic school! Some people tell me they have unhealthy attitudes toward sex because of Catholicism, but I think that's on them.
Do you ever ask them what their unhealthy attitude towards sex is, or do you think it may be too scary to find out?
I'd rather not know, but I think it has to do with separating desire from what you would look for in a wife. You would find another woman to satisfy your baser desires because your wife is like the Madona.
Guilt and fear, as well as absolute confusion, I agree were a big part of the Catholic experience for me. I missed out on unhealthy sex, thank nothing.
Another thing about the Catholic experience was the,"wait 'til your father gets home" threat, which loomed over every day of my life. The father being a god, of course. There is some weird parallel between that experience and reading the many articles and comments on the Internet concerning the NSA spying. I was quite surprised that the Snowden leaks are shocking to people, but my surprise could be due to already having been conditioned in childhood about a mystical spy overlooking all my actions and thoughts while in Catholic school, and those actions and thoughts were being judged by an invisible stranger.
On the other side of the issue, people actually say that they don't mind being spied upon because they "have nothing to hide", as if they have been conditioned to find no value in their privacy. They could be people who would gladly be a subject for "reality television". Intimacy may be foreign to them. Being alone may scare them. People do cling to each other, to the extent of suffering abuse out of their fear of being alone.
Just some thoughts. Goodnight
