It's the pedal bin in the middle that fascinates me.  What is supposed to go in there? Undecided

That's to rest your coffee cup on or put your newspaper in. Innocent

Or the currency, if it's not already flushed down the pan.  Smile

We’ve all been there. Something you bought and then wished you hadn’t.

6 weeks ago, I ordered a blood testing kit for £50. Only today, and after numerous emails and telephone calls (went to voicemail), Paypal dispute, then escalation to a claim (all of which were met with a deafening silence!), did I hear anything of it! Yell  (unless you count the standard order confirmation email) They have "technical problems" (which seem to be a regular occurance; it's not the first time they've had to suspend their services (this time they seem to have suspended more than just their services!) due to "technical problems"), and they'll refund it.

Their entire system seems to be very badly designed. There was no indication of anything wrong anywhere on their website, or their facebook and twitter pages. Seriously, you place the order and you're left to just hope it will work out (which in my recent experiences, they haven't Frown) I'm left to wonder what sort of technical problem led to a 6-week silence. I'm not entirely sure I believe their explanation Undecided.

Trading Standards might give you some help or tell you what to do next. Other than that, some home insurance policies offer free legal advice.

Never heard of Trading Standards before. Unfortunately, the company in question doesn't appear to be listed on there Frown. So I'm not sure they'll be able to help me.

Not sure how I can get home insurance as I don't own a home Undecided.

Is it not the same Trading Standards? I searched for the company but they don't appear to be listed.

Thanks for the link. I might try that if nothing comes of my current pursuits.

Does anyone know what the best mobile network is in the UK?

I was on Orange for years and it was fine. EE took it over and now it's rubbish. I hardy ever get a signal downstairs in my house now. I have to go upstairs and walk around the whole top floor, from one room to the next, waving my phone in the air to send a text message.

That's a shame, EE is the best signal in the Scottish Borders. They can take our freedom,,but they cannae take oor signal!

I'm not walking to Scotland to get a signal. I do enough walking up and down the stairs.

We can't have Orange anymore here, it's called EE now. They took over a lot of mobile networks.

EE is Orange now in the UK Pulp. Think they won it on a peal! Whee!!!!

They must have taken all our phone masts to Scotland.
