Battle of the Hydaspes River

Anybody think Raja Puru (King Porus) should have won the Battle of the Hydaspes River?

Bodhidharma

Puru was on home ground and the ancient equivalent of tanks - he should have. Furthermore, he had allies in the form of the seasonal rains and disease but obviously, he didn't use them to full effect.

That's what I thought!

Maybe good ole Puru did win but he had a lousy PR consultant who allowed the Macedonians to monopolise the ears of the ancient world then, who then proceeded to tell the sanitised version of their "victory".
