I'm a firm believer in 'Heaven/Hell on Earth'. We can put ourselves through hell or we can be happy and positive. Whatever happens later may or may not depend on "this world's experience".

A new thread with the same name is a little confusing but if that s what you want it s ok with me...

I have a birthday party this afternoon that could be nice but it s mostly nothing ..

Tomtalk
Who's birthday is it?
Tomtalk
I guess that's true CK. Certainly we can make things hard or easy for ourselves. I'm not sure it's within our control though.

Can we make our hearts feel something that they won't? Love someone they don't?

My sister in law ...she turns fifty or something...a lot of family there...hope the drinks are ok

Tomtalk
Ha ha. Yes get drunk!
Tomtalk
Seriously though I hope you enjoy it. I guess your wife will be good company for you. It's your wife's sister I guess.
Gerberk8

Yes she is...i will not get drunk but only have a few drinks...I hate birthdays somehow...thanks Tom

Oh the thread name. It would be disingenuous for me to pretend to have a topic.

My thread is a place where people are free to communicate and express themselves.

It took me a while to conceive of an idea as to how to name such a thread but I've got it now.

Be yourself!
Tomtalk
Ah it's probably a bit of a social anxiety thing. I appreciate that. I experience those feelings. I think they can't be avoided.
Tomtalk
Maybe you can post here for moral support!
Tomtalk
Thanks for joining me guys. Work time.

My wife has two sisters. Had to pay a visit to the older one recently.

Circumstance of Debbie is stranger than fiction

It's strange that these celebrities take these substances. I wonder if it's the paradise syndrome.
Tomtalk
Pulp you sound like you have your hands full with relations!
Tomtalk
I think I can't win. I'm either nervous with company or lonely without. Neither suits me.
Tomtalk
Maybe it's about being comfortable with who you're with though. Trusting them.

But there's all that social etiquette stuff. It makes me acutely uncomfortable.

Maybe because I'm too withdrawn to just talk.
