I think I've been lucky in that I've visited Paris and Florence. Surely two of the most beautiful places on earth.
I visited Florence, Pisa, Siena, Rome, Venice, Milan and others. Too much of a Stendhal syndrome indeed. But about wine, I think I can pass with the national product.
