Yea. But for that to happen irl, it would require something while they were alive to actually do it (like a drug or smth that causes a parasite to take over once the brain dies). For this, I would assume it’s just a bite to spread

Windows
Once I get enough seeds and whatnot to survive, I know I sure as heck ain’t ever stepping foot outside for 20 years or smth. I’d rather use some eastern/western facing windows to get slightly less sunlight then climb the 80 foot walls to get direct sunlight (how the heck would you even get up there? Cuz I doubt they make ladders 80 feet long)

Even then, depending on how the infection works hiding in a hospital might be an awful idea
If the infection turns dead people into zombies then the place is gonna be jam-packed with them
