Best strategy games?

hello everyone, does anyone know about great strategy/puzzle games like chess? which do you think is the best one?

Well I know a lot of good video games that are strategy like.

Just sayin.

it doesnt matter what they are what matters is how much versatility, problemsolving and forward-thinking they need which have you played?

I really like Civilization 5. It has a lot of great strategy features. If you want to see what its like, I am doing a play through of it right now on my YouTube channel, " CoinBros Gaming "

Also Age of Empires is a good series of strategy games. I have more as well.

i looked into it, it seems interesting but a bit overcomplicated for me i would prefer a smaller type of game which is simple but has its own "language"

OK, well there are lots of games for mobile that are pretty cool. Like " Bloom TD Battles " I just recently started playing that one.

+1 to Blurr for playing Civilization V. Umbran, if you want a game slightly less complicated, play Civilization III. It's more basic than Civ5 but better than Civs 1, 2, and 4.

Oh yeah Civ 3 was actually really fun. I play Civ 5 more because I think it is better, but Civ 3 was really fun as well. I played that game when I was 6! :)

I played Civ3 until Civ5 came out. I like the depth of Civ5.

Also I think they worked really hard on the leaders, so that's pretty cool. It fun to yell at them! :)

But yeah Umbran23, Civ can be kinda complicated, but most good strategy games are kinda complicated.
