The most accepted translations for correctness are probably the CKJV the corrected King James Version. For reasons such as that it's wrong to transliterate persons names, and that some Hebrew words Greek equivalents are wrong. But also the Tyndale or Geneva Translations Because although the KJV is a literary masterpiece, it has altered text for no reason. Such as the word Church which is originally translated as congregation. Or such as the vail being rent at the moment of Yehushua's death which is actually translated as the header of the temple door was cracked. It's also correct to have the "Chronological Gospels" by Michael Rood Because thanks to his exhaustive efforts, certain translation and genealogy problems were solved. Having the apocrypha is correct because in the 1500's it was illegal to remove the book of Maccabees from the bible. It's correct to have the book of Enoch also because it was found with the dead sea scrolls and was just mysteriously seldom mentioned as being a part of that find. 1st Enoch is still used by the church of Ethiopia. All in all it's questionable that the Bibles canonization is actually correct. It's really only American fundamentalists who think it's infallible. For example 1 Corinthians 14:34 is known to be a forgery according to Dr. Richard Carrier. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. Which is not found in the earliest pages. Other documentaries to reference are "The great bible hoax of 1898" which shows why many accepted translations are wrong, and also other books from the Vatican archive.

The KJV version is not actually harder to read. The KJV is written on a 6th grade reading level while the NIV and ESV are on an 8th grade reading level.

Morality can and does (easily) exist without ideology. (Remember the Atheist Crusades? Yeah, me neither.) What’s that “Those who believe absurdities are capable of committing atrocities”?

Morality exists only as a result of religion, what’s the point of morals in an objectively meaningless universe? There is none, yet for some reason we have had morals for thousands of years. It doesn’t make sense that we would all randomly evolve to share morals, especially since morals are often inconvenient to us. And it cannot simply be an instinct, as when two instincts contradict, morals often tell us to side with the weaker one. And being that it judges between two instincts shows that it itself cannot be an instinct, just as the sheet of music which tells you what to play on a piano cannot be the keys themselves

Um, there’s actually a ton of neuroscience research that contradicts this. You might start with Panksepp and the (I’m sorry, I can’t remember the dig) the healed femur many consider the first sign of modern man. (If I can think of it, I’ll post.) There was nurture and compassion long before there was religion. And they exist today just fine without any book.
