Bipolar and chess

Any chess players there with or know a bit about bipolar disorder. I tried to research it online but found nothing really, the connection between it and chess that is. In my case when I'm manic I play better. I really enjoyed my manic bout because of this. The pressured thoughts known as a symptom of mania, is what I think contributes. And I read online about lower latent inhibition. I think this also contributes; The "hypomanic creativity". I really enjoyed my manic episode because of this. In remission my ability is probably 1.3k. But when hypomanic, with focus-something nearly impossible when manic- I could probably even go to 1.7k, probably. But it's really awesome. Any thoughts?

When a person yields better results from symptoms, their symptoms will be reinforced because the better results will paint a positive picture of the symptoms when in fact there are numerous drawbacks from the symptoms.

A person can be creative even in the absence of mania symptoms.
