Okay if I understand correctly. Which I am going to assume that you mean the black pieces on a chessboard. If not please go read the TOS for the forums. So technically, black does have an advantage in the opening phase of the game. While the con of not making the first move may seem like a bad thing in reality, it’s actually a good thing. You see, being able to see whites first move allows black to determine what move to play. For example let’s say white plays e4. The next good move could be Nf6 attacking the e4 pawn. Or let’s say white plays d4. Now, black can play something like e5 attacking the pawn on d4. Or black could play e3 allowing the queen and bishop to move from their starting positions. Any thoughts?
