Bongcloud trolling MUST stop

Lately, I saw a post in which people were that you should play the bongcloud and how it's the greatest opening of all time, I don't have a problem with that thats their opinion later after that they say that if your king reaches the 8th rank you win. Now for players like me that have you been playing for 2 years+ we know that's not true, there was a new player there and he said that he would try it out, and forum poster gives him the moves to play the bongcloud, later after that someone that is a very strong chess player, starts using "fancy words" like proflaxis and etc, explaning why the bongcloud is really good, now the lower-rated might play it. Whats with these people, Especially why would you lie that if the king reaches the 8th rank you win, the person who attempts that will proabaly get checkmated by then, Why do people do this? Do you think that they are sadistic and want the person to lose? Also if you encouter this and your new don't listen to them and make sure you don't fall into their "trap" Let me know in the comments, Thanks

Hikaru made it popular and it's fun to play. I won two bullet games with it. (at 600 so against new players) It was fun castling in 3 moves and having my second move be an inaccuracy. However, I do agree that people shouldn't promote it like it is an actual opening, or say if you get your king to the other side you win. That is misleading.

The BC originally was named “The Kings Own” opening and has been around for many decades. Dizin made it popular in all the skittles rooms back in the 80’s. There’s not much new under the sun.

I'm not sure someone buying the bongcloud stuff and losing a bunch of games is a tragedy.

The OP expresses concern about the trolling of the BC Opening as being valid. 
He need not be so concerned. It’s an opening - playable like any other for hobbyists. The percentage of wins will be lower = troll opening. To make it into anything other- is recognized by every player.

The King reaching the last rank = a win is something completely made up and never a part of regular game ( becomes a variant).

I think the false accusations that the bongcloud isn't the best opening are what needs to stop. I'm sorry....MUST stop. 

Modern analysis has shown that the most important opening principles are (1) controlling the center with the king and (2) doubling and tripling pawns to better control the neighboring files. The king is the best piece to use to control the center as it can attack all adjoining spaces and, unlike the queen, can not be legally captured. 

The part about getting to the 8th rank being a win is often misinterpreted but in a way that doesn't matter. The computers have proven that it is impossible to lose a game with white when you are able to move the king to the 8th rank. It isn't a rule, but it might as well be and FIDE should address this.
