Lately, I saw a post in which people were that you should play the bongcloud and how it's the greatest opening of all time, I don't have a problem with that thats their opinion later after that they say that if your king reaches the 8th rank you win. Now for players like me that have you been playing for 2 years+ we know that's not true, there was a new player there and he said that he would try it out, and forum poster gives him the moves to play the bongcloud, later after that someone that is a very strong chess player, starts using "fancy words" like proflaxis and etc, explaning why the bongcloud is really good, now the lower-rated might play it. Whats with these people, Especially why would you lie that if the king reaches the 8th rank you win, the person who attempts that will proabaly get checkmated by then, Why do people do this? Do you think that they are sadistic and want the person to lose? Also if you encouter this and your new don't listen to them and make sure you don't fall into their "trap" Let me know in the comments, Thanks
It is YOUR responsibility to win against the bongcloud player if you think his opening choice is wrong. AT NO POINT your opponent has ANY obligation to play moves you've chosen IN ORDER to prove ANYTHING you may hold true. He/She doesn't owe you any assistance of any kind in the chess debate. This is what an opponent is.

I actually did an engine evaluation of some sort, and noticed that after a few bongcloud categorical moves, black/white is actually better.
People here don't seem to know the history.
The Bongcloud was popularized by @Lenny_Bongcloud in the early days of chess.com. And, according to Lenny himself, the point of playing this opening isn't "to win or lose," but "to get the king to the other side" dueds. Once you prove your superiority by getting your king to the other side, you don't even bother to finish the game, you just resign. People trying to win with the Bongcloud or people playing normally after 2. Ke2 are not playing the Bongcloud properly; instead, they're playing chess with a terrible second move.

It's NOT the opening, if you hadn't noticed, Tang was about +3 the ENTIRE GAME until he blundered. That's not the bongcloud causing the win, and saying that is just no

Geez. Why do you care so much? You can't just tell a million chess players out there to stop playing an opening. Personally, I don't agree with the fact that if the king reaches the 8th rank, you win, but I also don't agree with the fact that the bongcloud is a troll opening. It's basically saying something like this:
"Everyone! Stop playing the Queens Gambit immediately! It's a troll opening!"

A 2600+ GM played the Bongcloud against me (twice), on a different site. Both games, he ended up resigning.
Then he abandoned the Bongcloud, (when he realized he wasn't Hikaru, and was just bleeding points for no reason), and started playing actual openings.
