I read "Apeshit" literally in 2 days, starting on the day I turned 39 back in 2014, and was already hooked on him!

Since then, I've read, in no particular order:

Satan Burger

Zombies and Shit*

Tumor Fruit*

Razor Wire Public Hair

The Baby Jesus Butt Plug

The Menstruating Mall*

Sex and Death in Television Town

Ultra Fuckers*

Armadillo Fists*

Teeth and Tongue Landscape

The Handsome Squirm

Kill Ball*

 

Apeshit and the ones I marked with asterisks I thought were the best ones of his I've read thus far.  Have many more to go!

 

Apeshit is about 6 students (3 guys, 3 gals) going on a getaway trip to a cabin that is haunted

 

Zombies and Shit is basically a zombie version of Survivor - only 1 out of 20 will make it out alive

 

Tumor Fruit is about a plane crash were the survivors are stuck on an island that is toxic and chances of survival is almost zero.

 

The Menstruating Mall is about a mall where many people go in and out of it like normal, but there is some odd power that keeps a small group of people inside indefinitely, and what happens between them is really weird and f'ed up.

 

Ultra Fuckers is about a new housing development for the filthy rich, but the problem is once a couple went in, it kept on expanding, and they can't get out, ever!  Some more weird f'ed up sh*t goes on in there too.

 

Amradillo Fists is a Gangster book where one person's hands are replaced by Armadillos, and some weird stuff happens there.

 

Kill Ball is about living your entire life in a bubble, and there is one ball that is out to kill, and he tends to target strippers.

Carlton Mellick III is consider to many the king of Bizarro, a genre introduced near the turn of the century.

Rather than my trying to describe it, because parts are humorous, parts are grotesque, parts are sexual (typically crude in nature, not the lovey dovey garbage you get in Romance novels), possibly some public nudity, etc.

@thrillerfan. Thanks for the info. I would definitely give bizzaro books a try when I see one, since I love reading books that are so different and original from what I used to read.

Because of their provocative nature, you won't see any.  You have to either order online (i.e. Amazon) or else go to the annual Bizzarocon in Portland Oregon which is typically first weekend in November.  Never been to one so don't bother asking what they do.

Found out more about a great book that is related to chess too- 'The Luzhin Defence' by Vladimir Nabakov ( Lolita ), probably gonna read it within next month.

  I enjoyed the movie based on The Luzhin Defence (i forget if they kept that title) and it seems like it would be a good read. btw there is a thing called book bub which sends an e-mail of books at Amazon which are often free,for 99cents or $1.99. They are sent via of my kindle.

Last week, finished reading the most magical and mesmerizing book I've ever read- 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' by Gabriel García Márquez. The incredible and intricate details and the power of Márquez's magical language is just astounding!

Recently read my first James Joyce book, 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man'.

It was a brillant book, filled with linguistic and narrative genius.

I am looking forward to reading Joyce's most famous book 'Ulysses'. From what I have heard this is a very hard book to tackle, but I'm going to give it a try anyways.

I'm currently reading 'Anna Karenina' and , this book is so great!

GREAT, in the highest sense of the word. This book needs to be read by more people, even though its a bit lenghty, time spent on this is so much worth it.
