Bullying (it's just... why)

I have gone through this and because of this incredibly stupid generation, I have been called gay and the r-word which is another word for dumb (but it's a slur.) Thing is sometimes it's really hard to control your own emotions and it can really be challenging to stand up to someone or yourself though sometimes facing them and saying stuff back to them can only make it worse and is not easy. For example, someone was calling me gay in a call and it's incredibly dumb how nowadays this generation is only linked up with words like rizz and gay, and me personally I do not like it. Now i might go off-topic, but I was I was watching a video of school evolution on YouTube (don't ask why) and I really saw that the past could have been a great experience and people had fun and friends were actually real and I felt like that is how it should be nowadays other than kids having to vape in bathrooms, get into pointless fights, be on their phone mindlessly, and having to be so rude to others. I really wish school can actually be normal and not be such a pain in the butt. Now, I'm curious on how you guys dealt with middle school. Go ahead and share your advice and thoughts.
