It was not very well publicized, unfortunately, I only heard about it last night. Although the issue has been coming a long time, I posted about this years ago.

On Sunday 15 March many cities around the globe are organiing marches against canned lion hunting,
In South Africa, 2 thirds of all lions are in captivity, bred especially so that 'great white hunters' from Europe, USA and Asia can come and shoot them.
There is no hunt, these animals are caged and drugged so that these brave trophy hunters won't be in any danger, and can proudly display their stuffed heads and pelts to admiring family and friends.
If you city is included on the list, maybe one or two of you might want to join a march in your area.
