One of the issues with English is how ideosyncratic many of its spellings are. Spoken and written English are profoundly different skills, as many people for whom English is a second language will tell you.
However, this test shows that it might not be as big a problem as is commonly suspected. Good news, for proponents of English as the planetary lingua franca.
