Capitalism is the best

Democracy is, I agree, a good thing, but I don't think it fixes all of this world's problems.

About Hitler, there was, and is, a lot of propaganda about how the US was forced to join to save the world. Some is true, and some isn't.
But I have studied WWII in detail, and I am pretty sure that Hitler would have been defeated without the US. I am not saying he was not a threat, or downplaying his power, but when the US joined, the war had progressed to a point where (in my humble opinion) the German army was doomed to fall to Russia. Hitler had attacked Russia, and was stuck there into the winter, which destroyed much of the Soviet army.

And (also in my humble opinion) Stalin was just as power-hungry as Hitler, and his army was similar strength.
If you look at the numbers, Stalin had way more people killed than Hiler.

why should we join Stalin in fighting Hitler, instead of letting them both fight it out?

Remember "Fat Man" and "Little Boy"? Yeah, that was us, the greatest nation on God's green earth

I know the nicknames, but I think that there is a lot in the whole story that was done out of politics and wanting power, instead of the claimed "love for humanity"

Propaganda is a very powerful weapon that countries use against their own people.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I think it is undeniable that the US government at least slants facts to their own advantage.

I also know of times when they have flat out lied, but I probably shouldn't get into that since I don't have the evidence in front of me.

The USA didnt acquire any more land after the war. We weren't in it to get more power, we were in it to kick ass and take names.

The US did not acquire land, I agree.
But, they did scare the majority of the world into agreeing with them.
