Last year I've almost switched from e4 to d4 and I'd like to try the Catalan as a way to avoid some important defenses for black. A good choice for a low rated player as me, or perhaps too much subtle? It seems like black could take the c-pawn and keep it hold without danger, unlike it happens in QGA. Maybe I should try first 5. Qa4+ instead of the main variations?
