Dogs, because they are loyal companions and can help anybody out! Plus, you can't walk a cat😆

Technically, you can, but that's weird and walking dogs is much better.

To ask someone “Do you prefer cats or dogs “ is not a sensible question: it is not even a reasonable question , because you cannot compare the incomparable.
“ Would you sooner own a cat or a dog ? is a little more sensible, but the answer must almost invariably depend on the circumstances. If you are a man who shoots , you want a working gun dog , but if you are old and unable to get about much , a cat who exercises itself and who sits in front of the fire or on your knee, will certainly make a more suitable companion than a dog . You cannot compare cats with dogs .
One might as well ask “ Do you prefer eggs and bacon or a game of golf . The truth is - and it is not always recognised- that the more obedient a dog is and the better it is trained for its work , the more it becomes a ‘slave ‘ to its master however willing that slave may be , and the more it loses it’s own independence of thought and action. This never happens with a cat .
