and when was the last time your cat killed a snake? or thought off 3 coyotes?
also it would be physically impossible for my dog to fight coyotes, as they dont exist here

Exactly my point. A cat doing anything as well as a dog is so uncommon, it is headline news in the extremely unlikely event it ever happens.

Dogs are bred and trained to protect the herd from coyotes and wolves and such. They been doing it for millennia. It's nothing special. It's just what dogs do!!
