I’d love to run something like that but I feel like it would be very hard to organize. It’s still very much a possibility, though.

If we doing that, I am consistently on at a certain time, so we could do that. Also, we don’t need dnd characters, I just think perception checks and stuff like that would be cool to add

Hear me out… if your roleplays are super into battling, then this idea might be nice. You wake up in a distant land, where the rules for battling are different than they normally are. The people in the RP must figure out how the new system works and adapt in order to get back home. I did a similar story idea once with a single person a long time ago, but the person I was roleplaying with seemed unusually upset, and just completely quit. No idea why.

i nolonger like dice based combat for rps

i now prefer both sides putting in their attack, and then the dm or co-dm deciding on what happens

but the main problem for me is how severely it can throw the story off. with my rps, i focus a lot more on the story, so if an important character gets killed off because they rolled a 1 on the dodge roll, than how are we supposed to progress?
