That was a good thing. Intentional spam threads should be locked. The only thing wrong with this situation is the fact that the same moderator that locked it also unlocked it. Why? Is this content no longer considered a violation of site TOS?

I reported it to him via DM. I said that some individuals should be muted for spamming 30 numbers in a row, but it appears that the spam posts were just deleted, and it was just a warning to all. He said if it continued, he would lock it, since he didn’t want the OP’s thread to be locked for something he didn’t do.

That’s why I made sure to say that no spam would be tolerated in mine, it’s basically just for discussion but I also do pushups

The only thing that threads like this accomplish, is to encourage spam and garbage posting.

That is the whole reason for this thread. Someone maliciously hijacking a thread with spam for the sole purpose of getting it locked. And, of course, no action taken against that member.
That’s the problem. The members who hijack threads with meaningless posts and spam never get muted, and instead the entire thread is locked because of it. Though in this case, I blame the thread, since it encourages spam in the first place. And people that bump threads that are 14-years-old should be muted, for sure. They should add it to the TOS.
