6-21-2017 Here in Jacksonville this weekend it is going feel really hot in the 100s F range. Lows in the seventies highs in the nineties. Today 6-21-2017.
Today was drier (so far) than what we have gotten used to with isolated showers popping up along Hwy 301 and pushing slowly towards I-95. Lighter but more consistent showers have been pushing in form the Gulf and fading out over I-75. As we transition through the evening hours, heavy rain is possible along I-75 as waves of tropical moisture from the outermost edges of Tropical Storm Cindy push inland from the Gulf. There is a chance a few of these showers may make it over to I-95 around and just after sunset.
Thursday will be slightly drier and warmer as Tropical Storm Cindy moves onshore near the Texas-Louisiana. Expect afternoon highs into the low 90s and 50% chances for showers and thunderstorms. Afternoon scattered showers and storms will develop mainly inland, becoming isolated through the evening hours. The heat and humidity will combine for a real taste of summer. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s will feel like 100-106. morning lows in the 70s inland and along the beaches.
Friday and Saturday will be notably drier as Tropical Storm Cindy moves further inland and away from us, taking a lot of the moisture with her. We only have a 10% chance for showers on Friday and a 20% chance for showers on Saturday- both will be hot, in the low to mid 90s. The chances for rain on Sunday afternoon return and build up to 60% during the afternoon hours.
Tropical Storm Cindy Continues to move northwest toward the Texas-Louisiana border with landfall expected tonight into early Thursday morning. Rainfall rates of 6 - 12 inches across portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the western Florida panhandle are possible
Enjoy!
Thank you Kaynight for your report my friend:-)
