Chess mentor rating changer

After every chess mentor lesson, your rating changes depending on how well you did in the lesson. With the tactics trainer, usually your rating changes from -9 to +9. But with chess mentor, my rating only goes up if I get 100% on the question, and even then, it only goes up 3. Anything below 100%, from 90% to 20%, pushes my rating down. Sometimes, I can lose up to 20 rating points on a single lesson, even if I got 60% on it. My question is if it's like this for everyone, or is there some glitch or technical problem with my chess mentor?

The rating change depends on the rating of the lesson and your score. I have no idea what the rating of your lessons are, so I'm afraid I can't answer your question.

Okay, but just to let you know, the lessons usually have a rating of 1600-1800 on them.

Well, your current chess mentor rating is 1,665. You mentioned that your rating goes down by about 20 after scoring 60% in a lesson with a rating between 1,600 and 1,800. To be quite honest, I don't think that's very strange... In fact, it seems pretty normal to me!

Most chess mentor problems I do give me +0 for 100% and -3 to -20 for less than 100%. I am in a no win situation. 🙈🙉🙊
