I have to be careful the way i write this comment for my topic so here i go!.

As in a pass forum i asked a question about a subject but unfortunetly it was closed down but i did take all comments on board and was happy with most of the responses.

But unfortunetly i came under fire because i could not write properly so i explained i have a dissability with means i write slower and i do not recognise where commas, full stops and so on go so is that right and may i stress i am not a victim i will stand up for my self and sorry about my spelling.

So is it ok to attack someone about the way they write or something else i call that discrimanation do you

Fair? I don't know if it's "fair," but you have to expect the possibility of some criticism when posting in a public forum--criticism on any number of counts.

If I offended you I am sorry, as I didn't aim to hurt you, just to irritate you to care enough about your potential reader, to give the effort to make a much more comprehensible post.

In fact your last post seemed very good to me. I had said you seemed capable of a much better post, based on what I saw in your first one, and I was right.

It's up to you whether you want to reach that kind of quality each time.

In any case, it's not a matter of I can't.

Whatever your disability, it doesn't prevent you from making a sensible post. In this sense, disability doesn't seem to enter into the argument.

Do you have Microsoft Word?

It is definitely discrimination, people should keep their opinions to themselves. I read through that forum and thought that was out of line. This site is for everyone with a passion for the game of chess and to make friends along the way. The comment made about spelling, well that person should look at people, who with their mobile phones, how they abbreviate the conversation on them and if people continue to use shortened words, everyone in the future will be writing a new language of words. I am 100% with you Andrew, so don't take any notice of what people say to you mate, you can only do your best but don't leave the chess.com site, it is a great site and you will make many friends along the way.

Cheers

What kind of "disability" impairs you from not knowing where commas and periods go? Undecided

Keep your opinion to yourself. And quit discriminating against people who have reading impairments, i.e. those who cannot read stuff that is difficult to read (I am one of these sufferers).

I've just been reading through a few things about "dyslexia", and a few other things like it. I'm sure you know how to handle people, who get frustrated with you, by now. Good luck!Smile
