Usually at the pub I just play rubick's cube by myself. Chess might get me some action!

Surely at the chess pub you need some unique games. None of this darts rubbish. You need:
- drink a pint of Lucena while doing as many knights tours as you can in 3 minutes. The record so far on the pub wall is by Taffy the knightly nunn who has done 76 knights tours. He declined offers to break his own record though - he sculled the Lucena and hasn't got a throat left so to speak.
- twister on the giant chessboard.
- quoits with targets that are shaped like chess pieces. Hit the target and you get the piece for the chess game.
- chess "One Night in Bangkok" - karaoke comp to sing this song while sculling the Nimzowitsch - a dreaded super strong drink with a warning label: it restrains, blockades and finally destroys".
- dress up night as chess players.
l don't know how cool the people in your chess club are, but we're a bunch of old men who'll probably just have a few pints and play ...........chess.
I've never posted in a forum before so I don't know how to reach out to the right crowd.
I'm a brewer and a chess player. My chessclub takes a break over the summer and I thought it would be fun if the grown up members could meet for a monthly chess "pub" night. To help things along I'm going to make some limited edition chess themed beers.
that's where all of you nice people come in, I'm trying to put together a list of unique chess terms to build the brands around.
things like:
zugzwang
poisoned pawn
the more obscure and unique the better.
