Aha, very good LisaV, I also missed the joke the first time. That shows something about how the Brain works as people were expecting you to say Brain but you snuck in the word Drain ( you got us with that one ).
The forums are for the social interaction of the brain-damaged. Some forum-goers live in that dark, vulnerable place where they think that they're not brain-damaged at all, they think they're just observing the brain-damaged. Of course, in an asylum it is difficult to tell the difference between the patients and the doctors without the appropriate uniform. In the forums, it is impossible to tell.
I refute the observation that chess and the forums cause dain bramage.
In a bit of irony, without the red emphasis, the joke was missed. :)
I missed it at first, and then caught it, making me feel "very smart!"
! Thanks for clearing it up for "the others," who may not be quite as "sharp" as You and I Obviously are ....... say, could Men be more vulnerable than Women to developing "neurological deterioration" from playing chess and reading forum comments? hmmm .......
........

Pretty sharp comment. (Having worked in psych wards, I Completely agree about the uniforms!) Given the astuteness of your thinking here, I'm guessing you haven't been playing chess and reading stuff in the forums for very long .....
take every sharp comment as intended, that is a tongue in cheek attempt at good humour...enjoy the banter!
Considering that I have asked in the strip chess thread to play stripchess against CP30 from Star Wars, to me there is no argument; forums do far more damage to your brain.

Just curious -- did you accept the challenge? Also, who would win in a chess match between CP30 and Deep Blue? How about Spiderman vs. Wolverine?
(Or are these questions that have already been addressed and resolved by brain-damaged individuals in previous forums?)

C3P0 would lose unless he was fed all the information to prepare for the chess match. As it stands now, he only has knowledge of the type of chess from his galaxy.
Spiderman/Peter Parker is known to be highly intelligent. It's possible he played and is good at chess. If Wolverine was any good at chess he would've possibly played many games against Prof. X, but that was never portrayed and therefore in doubt.
a long time in front of a monitor sends many crazy, not just chess players but people at work also...think about all those people and monitors in a stock exchange or financial advisors office...they are really mad crazy!
