Hi, I just thought about this a few days ago. I was thinking, why not get a mini-virus to kill the virus?

South Korea locked down, did a lot of tests, identified patient zero and traced every positive test to find all the people who came in contact, tested those people, etc.  They have the lowest fatality rate on the planet - 2 magnitude orders of 10 lower than Italy (that's 10 x 10 for those of you who flunked 6th grade arithmetic).

What have the other nations done?  Trump declined free test kits from WHO and now the USA does not have enough test kits because domestic suppliers have not been able to deliver quickly.  America and other countries have been to slow to close their borders and lockdown, losing the 2 week time window to reduce tranmission by 30%.   Thank goodness some of the state governors have common sense and implement the guidelines issued by the health experts.

Fortunately, for those of us who don't live in South Korea, the COVID_19 vaccine is in clinical trials.  The first human volunteer received the first test dose yesterday.  After several months of testing to see if 1) the vaccine is effective and 2) the adjuvant does not attack the immune system, the vaccine should be ready by the end of this year.

In the meantime, we will all reap the stupidity of our respective politicians, who put their public image before public health.  For every person who dies, they should be charged with capital murder.
