It fogs up my glasses, I have scared up lungs so breathing is very hard, I have had 2 Pfizer shots, and the chances of me spreading the virus are so close to zero it just as well be zero. My degrees cover biology and one of my courses was Virology I recognize BS because I have as one of my degrees a BS.

As I have said before so much of this doesn't make sense.  I am not saying the virus is not real, because obviously it is.  But the rules are inconsistent, and they seem to be for one group of people, but not for another.  I have to wear a mask to but eggs, but professional athletes can do what they do without a mask?  Apparently my act of buying eggs carries much greater risk than 22 guys on a football field in a pile.

I think professional athletes are tested every 2 days or something.

Not at all.  The risk of the NFL players is much higher.  But your going to the store doesn't generate billions of dollars in revenue, and money is more important than human lives to a great number of people.  Those people have harnessed the fact that humanity are monkeys that still have a biological urge to watch social interactions and competitive events that rank other monkeys on the social ladder.

No frivolous group activities should be sanctioned right now.  But since they are, they have to at least pretend they are being safe with testing protocols, etc.

Everyone could help curb the exploitation of sports for money by supporting their local high school teams and ignoring professional leagues.

And once again, money rules.

No they are ALL (players and trainers and coachs etc etc ) tested very often and if one is tested positive he is going to be in quarantine right away! Peoples going into any stores or gym or inside any building are not TESTED!

A full team can go on quarantine if many players are tested positive and it did happen many times in the last few months.

And not all of them are required to wear masks.  But the average everyday person has to?

If this "deadly" virus has an incubation period of 2 days to....?  How many of these unmasked athletes are infecting other people before they are testing positive?

Marie-AnneLiz

Who told you it was every 2 days?

Marie-AnneLiz

No rules are perfect and in some states you still have 16 000 peoples with no masks going inside to watch some sport since many months in Houston and Florida and Las Vegas etc etc  because so many governor are right wing nuts!

And what about in some states only 30% are fully vaccinated?

No idea what you are referring to.  I posted that the incubation period is 2 days to...?

Im not looking for perfection.  Im asking why my act of buying eggs is such a deadly threat to the population that i am required to wear a mask.  But professional athletes can go about there profession without a mask?  And if this delta variant is such a killer, then why arent professional sports required to wear masks?

And yet 52,000+ people can go to a baseball game.

"MLB outlined guidelines for allowing fans back into ballparks this year, and at this point, social distancing and mask wearing will be enforced but no vaccine checks or negative COVID-19 test results will be required. The guidelines are dependent on adhering to the teams' local government guidelines and restrictions."

So a virus so deadly i have to wear a mask to buy eggs, but vaccines are not required for 52,000+ people gathered together?

The problem with sports events is not just players (who still have no good reason other than money to be maskless while in direct contact with 10-20 other people), but the crowd.

Sporting events are the very definition of a luxury.  They produce nothing essential to anyone.

Imagine a world without yachts.  Runs pretty much exactly like it does now, right?  Now imagine a world without professional sports...also runs pretty much exactly like it runs now.

I enjoy watching professional sports, like most people...but it's not advisable or needed right now.  There's no earthly reason for 22 men to put on pads and run into each other full speed during a pandemic where the virus is spread by proximity.  If you want to be uplifted, there are plenty of ways to get that without requiring close contact.

Marie-AnneLiz

When more then 90% of the players are fully vaccinated and when they are daily tested?

There is no reason to have full crowd if the they are not all fully vaccinated and masked.

BTW I do not watch any sports,I only use my common sense.

There was a Doctor on CNN today begging, pleading, urging the bikers to re-consider going to the Sturgis rally. Not sure how many minds he's going to change.meh.png

When i go to the gym.  I get a stationary bike between CNN and Fox.  Its sad that supposedly grown, educated people lie, stretch the truth, and spin the truth.  CNN will tell you that the vaccine is "safe and effective."  Which we dont know since it has not been properly tested.  Fox will have us believe that we are being brainwashed/coerced/frightened into getting the vaccine.   I just want the truth, which i believe is somewhere in between the 2 of them.
