Covid Vaccination Issues and Concerns

I received my first Moderna Covid vaccine shot today.  So far, so good.

Well congrats on the first step - at least you are getting a vaccine. Lots of people are still eager for their first dose as well. Hopefully this pandemic will ware off when many more are vaccinated.

I fully expected to die at the 25 minute mark, but nothing. My wife puffs up like the Pillsbury Dough Boy from pretty much any bug bite, but she didn’t even get a bump. In 1975 we all lined up at school to get our vaccinations, and people were saying the same garbage back in those days.

Congrats. And now for the next week you can pass off blunders as rare side effects happy.png

Great Idea!  Thank You!

So far the only clear side effect is gas. It’s like the Willy Wonka gas gum.

At this point, the arm around the injection site is very sore. It feels like someone smashed me in the arm with a 32oz ball peen hammer.

Ouch! That's tetanus shot territory.

It still doesn’t reach the level of the 1970’s penicillin shots they’d stick in your rear. It was like they forced a golf ball into a cheek.

I'm allergic to penicillin, so that's thing I didn't have to suffer through happy.png

I’ve been in quarantine since March. This March 11th I get my 2nd shot and freedom!

i think her job requires it

Something weird today. My sense of taste is way off. It’s very weird. I’m not finding reference online to this being a symptom, but since it is a symptom of the disease, I’m guessing it is related.

I go back on March 11th for my second dose.

A good friends father died today from Covid.

I did find reference to loss of taste and smell within 72 hours of vaccination.

So at least you know it's doing something to your immune system. Hopefully something good, like training the immune system...

That’s the thought.

A new symptom appeared yesterday for both the wife and I, and we cannot tie it to anything other than the vaccine. We’ve both been having pretty bad muscle cramps in our legs, arms, and hands. The only change is the vaccine.
