Ik
Windows is a bigger target
By that logic, I’m assuming that there are more people attacking windows then Linux
And by that assumption, I can also assume that Linux is probably slightly safer, as there are less hackers
What is the primary risk? Is it zero-days?
Personally, I think both are secure. It all depends in how you manage them. For example...
- Only install software from trusted sources (perhaps you can use a utility to only allow known and trusted software to launch.
- Stay up to date on software updates
- Don't use admin/root for day-to-day use
- Use a strong password. possibly even 2FA.
- Configure failed login and lockout policies
- Enable drive encryption

Idrk what the primary risk is
I personally aint a hacker, so I can’t tell u
Ik both are secure, but im assuming that windows is slightly less secure cuz it has a lot more user, and therefore likely has more hackers

BTW Im not telling anyone.

Is that how you got hacked?

I don’t use 2ds hardly ever now
I put in my password, and that’s it
I sometimes use email code, but that’s only once a month or so

I use the same password for everything, but I change all the numbers and whatnot, so I have a solid 30 different random number combos memorized

Everyone starts atthe beginning. it's ok. How/why was your account hacked?
I assume weak or compromised password and you never changed it?

Thats why people use password managers. Makes it easy to have a different password on each site... and the password manager will even create a strong one.

I take it a step further and even have a different username for many sites so if a site is compromised I can disable the email so I don't get spammed.

How they gonna hack your google account? A shared spreadsheet on Google is not a password manager.
