Beer?  I once got as a gift a "Mr Beer" making machine, The beer was so good you could almost call it a food. But it was alot of hard work and transferring it to special plastic bottles to formant. was a real pain. But now they have some thing called "the beer machine" and everything goes into a special keg, and the whole process takes place in the keg and when done, place the keg  which has its own spout in the fridge and enjoy. No chemicals, and healthier for you if you like to indulge. So what do you think,  has any one heard of this?? Does it help your chess rating go up, hmmmm?Undecided

It's well known that any alcohol "helps your chess". Below is the peer-reviewed study from the University of Edinburgh:

This Beer Machine thingy looks really cool. At first it seems a little like buying a model airplane kit where all you have to do is stick on the decals, but the whole thing just looks so cool... very well designed. I would probably end up taking it apart to see how they did it.

I wonder what materials you are supposed to put into it to start with. I can see maybe adding hops yourself, but I would guess they would have to sell you pre-made wort.

Bandito, you are very perceptive, the catch is you must buy all there ingredients to make things work! Same with the beer machine that I had, must buy  everything including the bottles!  so I guess you can say that we are not really controling what goes in just like store bought. One thing though, you can control the alcohol content increase or decrease!Smile

I figured, making your own wort would be messy. But i don't think you need worry too much about additives, beer is typically produced with natural substances only. Of course, you may wonder what was done to those substances before they entered the brewery.
