Do any other Israelis here encounter tons of antisemitism?

'amberjourney', I suggest you take a look at post No 8 before you start making petulant demands.  To dismiss what's being inflicted on the Palestinians as 'building a few houses', tells me how the author of that statement feels about what most of the world consider to be reprehensible actions by the Israeli Govt.

 With the situation in Liberia, I don't see how any honest thinking person can even find the situation in Israel worthy of news. Liberia is just a start, of course. What about Uganda. Children being kidnapped into the fighting factions. A kidnapped and rescued child WARNING THE FOLLOWING IS DISTURBING described some of his training to make him a killer. He was forced to kill a defenceless man with a stick, breaking his head open. He was then forced to eat  a small portion of the brains. Another kidnapped and rescued child described how they would all have drugs rubbed into cuts, drugs that made killing easy. "You could kill your own mother", is how this child described it. Back to Liberia. Look at Kent State Beach on Youtube. You will see children roasting a human body for food with human feces everywhere.

  What are the true motives of this care for the Palestinians? My belief? Nobody would care if it did not involve the hatred of Jews. The hatred of Jews is behind this care for the Palestinians. For people who are NOT motivated by hate, you have much more serious things to occupy your time and energy with. Before the tragedies that I mentioned, look in your own countries. Do you have any homeless and starving people at home? 

Nobody has denied that the world is beset with horrific acts of barbarism.  The OP was about Jewish people, and most agree that anti-Semitism isn't acceptable.  It's no more acceptable to many than treating the Palestinian people in the manner that the Israeli Govt do. 

I can see hatred in some of these posts, by Jewish people ironically enough, but not from anyone else.  All the Jewish people I'm friendly with don't agree with the Israeli Govt turning Palestine into what many call 'the largest prison camp in the world'.  It's called compassion and doesn't derive from hatred of anyone.

Yes a880, by politicians, not by ordinary people; we don't run society.  Most ordinary people have everything in common.  Compassion for the Palestinians doesn't equal hatred for Jewish people.  Compassion and a sense of injustice is what Jewish people benefited from by the majority after the genocide in Europe. 

I don't think it's too much to ask for the same compassion to be shown to the Palestinians, and some justice of course.  I remember images of American Orthodox Jews burning their Israeli passports in protest at the Israeli Govt policies towards the Palestinians not so long ago.  

two fast points. Some of what the orthodox do is twisted by the media to make the story that the media wants-not just in Israel, the media can be terrible. Many orthodox believe that Israel magically comes into existence when the end of the world comes and the messiah is there for everyone to see. We are all destroyed, banished from Earth, and the "ultra orthodox" get Israel.

  Beyond this, it is very sad what is happening to the Palestinians. But they tried to kill us, and not just once. Most of the Palestinians of today were not even alive when this happened, but they are paying the price. What do you want Israel to do? Israeli doctors already treat many wounded Palestinian children. They are attacks every single day. If they wanted their own country to live in peace, the Israeli's would help. But it would have to be land, say, in the desert we won from Egypt when they tried to exterminate us, and gave it back for peace. They can't have what they lost when they tried to kill every Israeli man woman and child. They can't be trusted, and have probably made another small attack today. The first war was illegal. Philosophically, laws go out the window during war. So they attacked stating they would kill everyone and lost their land.

  One Prime Minister said there would be peace when they love their children more than they hate us. Do they want to set up a peaceful state on new ground? There is lots of unused land. But, it would be no political advantage to the warmongers. 

Sorry, I just read about the larges prison camp. They can leave any time. Read about the concentration camps-they imply slavery. The Palestinians can leave, and they are not forced to live in barracks attached to a factory-a prison.

  I know even in my Country, Canada, if you told all the prisoners that they can just get up and leave, you would have many "happy prisoners".

 I think the term prison is being used too loosely. 

 I am not the only person who thinks like that. The major powers in the world think the same way. 

 I would love to see a new state built for the Palestinians. But, what if they can't make a country? We have seen that medical treatment of wounded Palestinians by Israeli doctors doesn't help.

  But I will not try to pretend that I have all the answers, and I will not try to talk you out of yours. I found the study of WW2, and seeing that it came from WW1, to be much more interesting. I know much more about it. It is a nightmare...WW2 we know more about, but WW1 is becoming forgotten by many. See the first movie from the book All Quiet on the Western Front. THIS HAPPENED. "Go to war with your chums, but don't be late. It will be won by Christmas". All the friends from school go together. After training together, living together, and forming bonds of friendships, all these students are often wiped out in an hour! Nothing like this has ever happened before.

  People wonder about Western self-hatred. I think it is from the world wars, but it is another story. And a far more tragic one as well. At least in my view. All destruction of families is terrible.
