Do threads have a decaying factor ?

After looking at many archived threads I have come to the conclusion that some topics will be around forever.

The greatest chess player of all time

Does chess make you smart/stupid

Knights vs Bishops

Fischer was a fake

Fischer was the greatest

Is there an ultimate opening

There also seems to be a specific time delay for each recurring topic to re-appear. This lead me to believe that threads have a decaying factor. Post 'knights vs bishops' too soon and no-one responds.Wait three months and you get a lively discussion. Much like chess ,the success of a thread or move is based on timing.

It also means that if admin can create a thread generator that will automatically re-open all the recurring topics every three months ,members will be saved the trouble and key strokes of asking the same questions.Or if admin gets their timing right members could be saved the trouble of responding.

I need 5 000 000 members to agree to this before taking it to admin so please put your name down.
