1,339 billion Indians might contribute towards global warming, but in all likelihood, not by way of being amorous.
I'm thinking more along the lines of coal-fired powered plants, but yeah sure, your micro-organism could also be a contributing factor.

So Woollensock is being conscientious, because in seeing the (imagined) effect 'getting physical' has had on the environment, he/she has decided on a life of aloneness. He/She has abandoned his/her affectionate needs for the greater good of saving the planet. That is an example of conscientiousness.
Being considerate because of an awareness of a higher moral principle. Something like that.
