yea, i remember the old motorola phones, they had a ugh battery, could probably power a bike now days. reminds me we spoke about batteries advances and tesla announced recently that their new generation batteries will last for a million miles.

Really interesting news! 4000 cycles with 10% loss in capacity, they say!

https://www.wired.com/story/tesla-may-soon-have-a-battery-that-can-last-a-million-miles/

this new technology was supposedly offered for free just last month by some IT institution out of Michigan or something.

regulating daily hours makes much more sense than what he said. thinking back he was probably a drifter and just bullshitt his way thru my curiosity. lol

Ayn rand was quite a character thats for sure, her personal life were a novel on its own. im not sure how much of it is true but they say she was shagging that Nathaniel guy. it wasnt behind her husband back, she actually tried to make him agree to it. dont remember how it ended up, but I cant imagine being in his shoes. now i remember his name, frank O'Connor. I think he was a painter because i saw a painting of his for auction not so long ago. something Japanese i think. will try to look it up...

“Please be relevant and kind” lol. Nice try, but the depth of innuendo is beyond that preview. Remorse is adorable at times, is it not?

@Sillver1 Anyway I’m no art expert, but that looks like a good piece that Conner painted. I’m impressed. Last week I took my 30 parked right along the coast. I think it was just outside of Crescent City. There was this Asian woman standing there with her tripod.. No, that’s not the place, it was a park in Frisco that I was driving through. Beautiful woman, beautiful scene. She was painting a pond with birds, trees and such. She was a knockout, but just the whole scene was actually more attractive to me.

Yeah, anyway I found out not too long ago that my step mother is an artist. She submits her works at shows as well. So one day she wanted to do me a favor, and asked what she could do fo me. I said well, I’m gonna need an avatar for this special report I wrote. I’m going to sell it on Amazon and I would like something special. So I specified it and she delivered.

I actually have it posted in my thread ‘Eric’s House’ if you would like to see it. I believe it to be about #25. The report is to be called ‘Spiritual Eyes’ so there you go.

I was going to phase in a pod cast show with that thread, but then I thought the better of it.  They don’t make it easy to delete those things I’ll tell you that. I might just revamp it who knows. In the meantime I got websites to build, that will keep me occupied.

if i ever seen an innuendo? this is it! lol. and yes, i think i see the order in your randomness. lol. if not? i dont want to know about it ; )

If i survey the participants...

@elroch, true random does not exist.
@king, depends on who you ask...
@birdie, questionable.

did i get it right? lol

questionable is an understatement. back from the jungle?

i'm also just an amateur but used to be married to an expert. i say expert because of her excessive knowledge about fine arts not just the art itself. feels like it was in a different life by now. you married?

what is the spiritual eyes writings about? i looked up your page briefly and it looks like youre really into paintings and food, lol you cook? and what is a '30'? too many questions?

elroch, i suspected there was more to the story than just giving out free technology, more like they gave away last week newspaper

uke, maybe you should lay off the booze a bit, lol ..or we'll need an AA thread next : )

funny stuff birdie

Well hello there Mr. Uke, good to have you back. Thought we lost you for sure. That ice tea wasn’t too strong for you was it, lol. Here, have some soup.. https://youtu.be/FF-wB6f47L8

Silver, if you mean by ‘married’ that I have allowed a piece of paper from the state to say we are? Then no, it will never happen. I have always believed that a couple can marry themselves.

Spiritual Eyes is about seven different spiritual events. Full page report for each event.

No, I do not cook. I would just be happy enough right now to learn how to make a decent gravy, and an even better spaghetti sauce. I do make a mean salad, and love working with soups. And you already know I drink wine. So that’s it, at home I live on soup, salad and wine. Otherwise I’m out at some restaurant, they all know me by now, lol. A ‘30’ is your half hour lunch break. : )

And now, I think nature does random colors the best..

Uke8

supreme onion soup. thanks! didnt know that parsley roots are edible. as far as spaghetti sauce i think that is much like a thick soup no? take scampi for example, some places serve it in a soup bowl and others just like regular spaghetti. essentially the only different is water content.

back on the randomness thingy... lol. I was thinking...
If nothing stand in the way of causality, what can possibly be in the way of determinism? was glancing over this article and it suggest something about time itself may go backward to confuse causality? it sure confused me.
i dunno, maybe we're just not capable of understanding. just like worms are not capable of understanding some of the things we do. after all we not so far ahead. lol. ok. had enough of this nonsense for one day.

Sillver1

maybe your take on marriage is right, or maybe it just depend on the level of baggage a couple bring to the table. oh well. you talk about spiritual events that happened to you?

uke, there's an experiment for 'time going backward' that is similar to the double slit and theoretically it show that observer in the present can change events in the past, so maybe its possible. in reality it falls together in the same old 'we don't know' bin. you can read about it here...

Uke8

"Wheeler pointed out that when these assumptions are applied to a device of interstellar dimensions, a last-minute decision made on Earth on how to observe a photon could alter a decision made millions or even billions of years ago."

"While delayed-choice experiments have confirmed the seeming ability of measurements made on photons in the present to alter events occurring in the past, this requires a non-standard view of quantum mechanics."

if this wasnt assumptive I would be very excited right now. thx tho, it's still very entertaining... almost as much as Tracy : )

@elroch, true random does not exist.

No. Randomness according to the  standard definition exists. Something else that someone uses as a non-standard meaning may not exist, but it is not what experts call randomness.

Nice to see there are 3 episodes of the new series available on All 4 in the UK! Would have been nice if it had stayed on Netflix, but I think that won't happen now.

lets grab a 6 pack and watch the universe end

Uke, I’m curious now what prompted your interest in ‘Randomness’. Was it a random event(s)? I’ve seen random images in the clouds, certain wall textures, subliminal advertising etc.. (Disneys got a cute one). I would like to see a chart created, that shows a breakdown of where this anomaly begins, and where it ends. In your humble opinion, do you think that’s possible?

I just had a random digression with said clips.. Was not expecting that.

Randomness is a lack of information/knowledge, nothing else.

Now it is known that nature (at an atomic scale at least) is providing random events of a totally different nature than what people are used to (like hidden cards in poker... quantum mechanics has actually disproven the possibility that what is observed exists prior the observation, cf Kochen Specker theorem and GHZ experiment for instance).

Elroch

Yes. randomness is about what is (not) known, and quantum randomness is about the absolute limits on what can be known about a system.

We have problems accepting that there is no absolute reality, just one which is inherently uncertain. Based on our normal intuition we would be much more comfortable with the idea that there is some definite truth and the randomness is merely the incompleteness of our knowledge of it, but that is not the case.

I'm talking about true random and you keep talking about apparent random. the 'true' added is the key and if you read my previous comments the interpretation should be clear.
anyways, the importance is the substance not the semantics.

So what's your opinion? does true randomness actually exist?

Hi Colin, I cant really comment on the KS theorem because i dont know if you understood my original question (the topic), the key is true-random as in genuine. unrelated to anyone's knowledge.
