Yes but it's kinda annoying over time. Like you don't have to respond to a person saying "hi" with "Not blocked, hi!" just say "hi". They can find out on their own if they're blocked or not.
It makes a nice change when the adults annoy the kids for once.

Depends...since no one really understands why or how the site rules are enforced.
I think it depends on what day and what time it is.
So if, say, it's a Wednesday and the time is 3:45 PM... will the thread get locked compared to a thread made on Monday at 4:55 PM?
that is very possible. The site rules change on a whim.
