On an infinitely expensive flat, two dimensional grid, there is an object on it that you can give one instruction that it will repeatedly follow, the instruction about what to do can’t refer to previous steps or notation about something on the board. Is it possible for the object to visit every tile following just 1 instruction. If not how many instructions is minimum?

I don’t know the answer to this myself. I’ve just been mowing it over in my head for a long time.

What

Avatar of Stormon-C
For an example, an instruction could be walk forward two spaces then turn 90° to the right
Avatar of Stormon-C
By that you can’t refer to previous steps thing, I just mean like you can’t say ‘go one more square than you went to last move and the turn 90°’ that would be an illegal instruction

I don't understand
