Evolution vs Creation Which fits better with the evidence?

Simple question, which model fits better with the evidence?

For the sake of debate, I will be 'critical' of both views. (at least in the 'opening' statement.) Even though I imagine most people who will read this know already my stance.

So basically the two most accepted world views are evolution, Big Bang, random chance, ect. And creation, in which a God would create everything.

Now both of these have fundamental 'issues' (if you can call it such, a better word might be “unanswered problems”)

I'll start with the creation: The fundamental problem with creation, is if there is a God that created everything, then where did He come from? A 'legitimate' problem. I answer this by saying that God 'was' everything, which of course is beyond our understanding.

But the Big Bang has the same issue. Where did the first “empty matter” come from?

Another problem is the 'distant starlight' issue. But both theories have the same problem, since the observable universe is a few hundred billion light years across. And evolutionists say that the universe “blew up” (no pun intended) about six billion years ago. (a non-conservative estimate)

So therefore we have to base our conclusions on the 'outside' evidence nature, science, archaeology, astronomy, history, geology, and the list could go on.

I'll start with the arguments, and counter arguments.

Evolutionists say that the rock layers point to millions of years, but do they? Its amazing to note that if you put some 'rock' sediment, sand, debris, ect in a bottle full of water, shake the whole thing up, and you will notice that they sort out in layers. Flood?

70 percent of the surface of the earth is deposited sediment. Flood?

There are interesting rock formations. Insert here

These are 'bent' rock layers. To achieve this, the rock would have had to be literally 'mud' as well as most of the strata around it. Flood?

Fossils are almost invariably found dismembered, and also jumbled with wood, other animals, ect. Flood?

And when fossils are found intact, they are almost always found in a 'bent over backwards' position, as if they where being strangled. Flood?

Creationists say that one 'proof' for the flood is that mollusks are found on mountains. Counter argument is that the mountains 'moved' on the continental plates. (I have no problem with that answer, if you put millions of years into it, it is possible, granted)

Aside from this there are innumerable problems for evolution.

Theres not enough salt in the oceans for millions of years.

The moon is not far enough away for millions of years. (it recedes at a measurable rate)

There should be no blue stars if they where billions of years old. And I want to dwell on this before continuing. Some scientists say that stars are forming all the time. They forget that it is very possible that the gas in front of the star dissipates, revealing the star behind the nebula.

There should be no spiral galaxies. (the outer arms move slower than the center, which means that it they where billions of years old, the arms would be completely distorted) I have heard a few attempts at answering this problem, but the 'answer' makes no sense whatsoever.

There should be no comets if they where billions of years old. (Every time they orbit the sun they loose some of their matter) I have received one 'answer' but it fails to include the fact that the comet orbits are regular, and can be predicted.

I think I have posted a long enough beginning?!

I do not pretend to know everything the evolutionists say. I simply posted a run down. (in respect to evolutionists)

Anyone want to defend (or attack) the others theory? (*warning* fireworks expected, but not appreciated)

I would ask that you keep your posts 'clean'. And please, no insluting on either side? Also, I would prefer not having people who have nothing of importance to say to start posting trolls.
