Exercise regime - Chess can help to keep you mentally fit but how do you stay physically fit?
I was a competitive swimmer and runner before the pandemic started. My specialty in swimming was the 100m Butterfly, the 100m Breaststroke, and the 100m Freestyle. My specialty in running was the 100m sprint, the 600m middle-distance run, and the mile run. I also did Boxing and Kickboxing. I used to do MMA a few years ago. I only did the martial arts for self-defense, not competitively. (I hate hurting people.) But the pandemic started, and now all I do is walk a few miles everyday.
The dojos here have opened again, so I practice martial arts. I specialise in wushu (broadsword, staff and spear) and practice for around 3 hours a day, but other than that, I play basketball and soccer near my house
The gym just reopened in my city about a month ago, so I've been going there and lifting weights. Trying to grow a bit of muscle so I don't look like a stereotypical nerd anymore.
I walk a couple miles everyday. Also stay pretty active with my siblings at home during christmas break from college

Besides my 3-5 mile walk, I also often walk to the fridge to get a snack.
Weighted pieces.
LOL. Love it . . .
Get up and walk around between moves. (I suppose that depends on time controls.)
I walk, skip and swim. I have a step goal that I try to reach by new years eve, new years day I reset the clock and try to get from 10,000 per day to 20,000 per day once again.
What do you do to support your physical health?

CheesySauce, that is the goal - exams done and dusted here ![]()
